YouWrench ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") is operated by Todd Logic Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Todd Logic"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the YouWrench mobile application.
We've built YouWrench as a privacy-first product. Most of your data — your saved vehicles, scan history, and preferences — stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. We only send data to our servers when you generate an AI Vehicle Intelligence Report, and even then, that data is processed and discarded.
By using YouWrench, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
The following information is stored only on your device using local storage (SQLite database). It is not transmitted to our servers:
When you generate a Vehicle Intelligence Report, the following information is sent from your device to our servers, processed, and then forwarded to Anthropic for AI analysis:
We do not store this data on our servers after the report is generated and returned to your device. We do not log personally identifiable information in our request logs in production.
When you purchase a YouWrench Pro subscription through Apple's App Store or Google Play, the platform processes your payment. We receive a confirmation that your subscription is active, but we do not receive your payment card information, billing address, or other financial data. Subscription management (RevenueCat or equivalent) is planned for a future release; this policy will be updated when active.
YouWrench requests access to your device's camera for the sole purpose of scanning Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) barcodes. The camera feed is processed locally on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit camera images.

YouWrench relies on the following third-party services to function. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:
When you generate a Vehicle Intelligence Report, we send the vehicle data described in Section 2.2 to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy and their Commercial Terms of Service, which prohibit training on data sent through their API by default.
YouWrench retrieves vehicle data from public NHTSA APIs (vPIC, recalls, complaints, investigations, safety ratings) and auto.dev. These requests are made directly from your device or our server using your VIN. No personally identifiable information about you is shared with these services.
If you purchase a YouWrench Pro subscription, the transaction is handled by Apple or Google according to their respective privacy policies. We do not receive your payment information.
Future versions of YouWrench will support Sign In With Apple and Sign In With Google for account creation. When that feature is enabled, we will receive a unique identifier for your account along with your name and email address (if you choose to share them). This policy will be updated to reflect those practices before the feature is released.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. We share information only:
Information stored locally on your device persists until you delete the App or clear its data. You may remove individual saved vehicles or clear all app data at any time from within the App.
AI Report request data sent to our servers is processed and discarded immediately. We do not retain copies of completed reports on our servers.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information transmitted to our servers, including HTTPS encryption in transit and bearer-token authentication on our API endpoints. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you are a resident of California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy laws, you may have additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal information. YouWrench is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact support@youwrench.shop.
YouWrench is operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, you understand that the limited data we process may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using YouWrench, you consent to that transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or business operations. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users through the App or by other means. Continued use of YouWrench after the new effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
